ave gone there for years, first with our kids and now with the grandkids. It is what it is, a very old train line but well worth the time and money to ride it. Visiting, go ride it, no disappointment.

A ride through a mine field to a broken bridge and then backing up back to the station. Way too much money for the ride.
night train without much of a view. Short stop to see lights and a santa hut. Babies got a stuffed bear from Santa, and toddlers up got a book. Very long line to collect tickets.
great rides, great reinactments, not over priced good history for your grandkids, enjoyed my the whole family
It's been a few years since I've ridden the M&H but it's always interesting and a nice ride along the creek, ending at Indian Echo Caversn. Nice for a few hours or go early and come back late after exp[loring the cavers, Enjoy1
Did a mystery ride and thoroughly enjoyed it. The dinner was great and the mystery entertainment was a lot of fun.
signage to the railyard was poor. yard is indicative of the trip scenery: old railcars full of trash, covered with tarps. trip goes behind appartments and warehouses, then follows weed and trash filled old canal. passes condemned houses as it follows a creek. crew were pleasant. interesting that this is a working railroad during the week hauling freight.
This was OK with the kids, but the ride is unbelievably short (the train actually backed up after reaching the end of the line. Cute, but not worth a whole lot of money.
The M&H has special events over different holidays. The train goes from downtown Middletown to Hummelstown at Indian Echo Caverns. A GREAT ride on a hot day as the caverns stay about 56 degrees year round. The train is old but functional. A GREAT place to have a kids birthday outing! Enjoy!
Train cars kept very nice for there age (1916,1918) . Very friendly staff but wish there was more for the kids to see out the windows. Guy with accordian for the sing a long portion was Great!
