A nice place to spend the day fishing for bass and cats. Lots of rocks to swim from. has boating waterways for recreational boating. Nice family place. Be careful of currents when the dam empties.

I have been going to Kelly's Run and the Pinnical Overlook for the past couple of months now and had a blast each time. The scenery is alwys changing and is a great cardio workout.

This trip might not be for everyone, but if you watch "How's it Made" then seeing the inner workings of the dam might be right up your alley. It's a long drive, down a windy road to get to the river, but once you're there the staff is knowlegable and the views are amazing.
I went on a half-day tour of the Hydroelectric Dam. It was absolutely fascinating and the host made the process of electricity generation very understandable!
The Holtwood Dam is situated on the lower Susquehanna River and can be visited on the Lancaster County side of the river. It is a great place to fish. Just look at all the boats just below the dam! There are tours of the dam available that must be scheduled in advance. Be sure to check out the fish lifts...
