the Town hall has a very large ballroom .the front of the building is white stone with large pillers .and the clock tower goes up in tires this is were it got the name of the wedding cake on the other side is a white marble staircase with black stair railes top with brass hand rail very eye catching this... This town hall is simply different. The building is known locally as The Wedding Cake named after the 3 tiered building on the roof. It is a very popular place for weddings, having a beautiful staircase for photographs and very near the town centre. The reception rooms are used regularly for tea dances etc.
