While I love the Tom Ridge Center, over my many visits, I've concluded that they could have done MORE. There is a lot of unused space that could be taken up with permanent natural exhibits that really showcase the natural beauty of the lake and the surrounding area. If you manage to visit on a clear day, or...even on a... More

Take your kids here to learn about Presque Isle. Only problem, lots of cars in the lot and hardly anyone in the building.

There is some interesting information and history about the evolution of Presque Isle and the history of Lake Erie. The viewing tower (which was easy to walk up -- about 220 steps) is too low to really see Presque Isle or the lake well. Good education location for school groups.

This was our first time visit to Presque Isle State Park. At the entrance you will find easily this Center. We were greeted by Jim, a swell fella with alot of information in 30 seconds or less. WE got our map, climbed the light house steps, looked into all the great exhibits, a couple short films, the gift shop and... More

I love the TRC. It has great exhibits on what you can see on Presque Isle. They offer movies like Lewis and Clark. From the over look you can see the lake, PI, and Waldemeer Park. That is really my favorite part. The gift shop has a lot of choices, but I wish they had items from more local artists... More

I brought my kids their on a rainy day, and for a good two hours we were able to run around and get a great look at what the Isle has to offer for environmental purposes! What fun.

Phone: 814-833-7424 Everything here is free except the feature-length movies on the Big Green Screen. Built to introduce patrons to Presque Isle State Park at whose base it sits it is run by the State of Pennsylvania. The commercial amusement parks nearby are a jarring distraction. Plenty of parking. Extensive interactive displays on 2 levels and binos to borrow to... More

Three adults and two children under the age of 5 covered most of the museum in under an hour.......great info if you have time to read it all, but kids under the age of 5 aren't interested. They could have spent the whole time in the kids area with blocks, puppets, puzzles, etc. We might have watched a movie had... More

Toured the center which was free to enter. Had a nice free movie presentation on the history of the isle. Climbed the tower for a look around.
