The restaurant has really good food, but it's kinda spendy. You do get large portions though, so that makes up for it. The Fish and Chips has some of the biggest pieces of fried fish I've ever seen. There's also a movie theater that uses old-style couches for seating (very comfy) and there's a big heated sitting pool outside. The... More

I wish they would change the menu to include seasonal fresh ingredients--they are so predictable-salads, burgers, pasta yawn

A great place for a special lunch or dinner. The theater is furnished with comfortable chairs and couches. There is a courtyard for outside dining when the weather permits. Lots of history here. Also has overnight accomodations.

The Kennedy School was an elementary school but has been converted into a multi-purpose business. There is a restaurant, a brewery, a soaking pool, classrooms converted into hotel rooms. Our first experience was a musical event (free!) in the gym. I heard there is even a movie theatre.

This was very disappointing since we had gone here many times before - haven't been back since. The service was average and slow. The building itself is worth a visit, but I don't recommend spending money on food.

I haven't stayed here, but have enjoyed visits. Do not miss the Tolkien's birthday celebration in January if you are a fan! In between screenings of the LOTR movies, you can wander around and enjoy all the art and artifacts exhibited in the halls.

It's an old school refurbished to house a hotel/restaurant/movie theater/bar/soaking pool....... Even if you are not staying, fun place to visit for everyone to enjoy!

A fantastic theater and dining experience that is off the beaten path. This is definitely not your run of the mill chain theater experience.

This is one of the great renovation stories in Portland. They have kept the charm of the old fashioned school and integrated it into the hotel, meeting rooms and restaurant. They handle weddings and banquets, smaller groups with buffets, etc. I am not a beer drinker but I do love their raspberry beer. Their restaurant has your typical burgers and... More

What a fun trip, to stroll through school halls and see all the rooms so delightfully repurposed! It takes some studying (and a few brews) to fully appreciate the depths of creativity at work here.
