My s/o took me to Portland for my birthday and surprised me with a bike tour. We rented cycles and biked around downtown Portland for hours. Portland is so bike friendly. I highly recommend taking an afternoon to see the waterfront area and consider going on the weekend when you can check out the market. Bring some water and snacks.

As a former competitive road cyclist, I have never encountered such beauty, driver's that respect you, and endless roads/routes to ride. I am unable to continue to ride my bike as living in Costa Rica as a woman riding alone with a highly rated road bike, I would be shot and killed just for my bike. Needless to say, I... More

We did a tour with Evan on a recent trip to Portland and it was wonderful. We cycled to some places we would not have found on our own, he was able to share a great deal about the cycling culture of Portland, and we learned some more about the history of the city and its evolution. This really is... More

Portland is a city MADE for biking! It's easy to get around and BEAUTIFUL. I knew I needed a bike for my trip to Portland and I was so thrilled by Portland Bike Tours. It's in a super convenient spot downtown with easy access to buses and the MAX. Evan found the perfect sized bike for me, it was totally... More

I had an awesome experience at Portland Bike Tours. I rented a bike for a week and was able to get around and explore the city with ease. The bike came with a lock, helmet, and even lights! Evan is charming and extremely friendly and helpful with directions and recommendations. It's clear that he knows and loves his city and... More

We had a great time exploring Portland for two hours on bike. The tour was just the right length of time and we covered a lot of ground. Definitely a great way to get a good feel for the core areas of Portland. We highly recommend our tour guide, Sam. He was very knowledgeable and very personable and gave us... More

We went on a Beer Pub Bike tour this month and it was one of the best things we have ever done in Portland Oregon. Our guide Sarah was so very informative and she took us to some great places to sample different beers. As we rode our bikes, Sarah gave us a history lesson about Portland, and about the... More

The guy who rented us bikes while we were there was a wealth of info about the city and what we should see. The single geared bikes he rented us were in great shape and cheaper than anywhere else I looked. He provided a map and some ideas on places to hit. Portland is a great city to explore by... More

Bikes were new. Staff gave us a friendly and casual welcome. Jeff was an awesome tour guide, very knowledgeable, cool, and capable. Showed us some key Portlandia sites! He had even made some tasty zucchini loaf for our small tour.

Portland truly is a phenomenal city for biking. There are real bike lanes everywhere, free bike maps, bike parking, bridges and paths just for bikes, great places to go by bike, streetcars you can take your bike onto, and drivers are actually (relatively speaking) nice to bikers. Portland Bicycle Tours is just a great operation out of a tiny little... More
