Close to Newport. Has a ton of camping spots as well as yurts available to rent. Trails to walk to the beach.
This park has it all. There is great camping facilities. The day-use area has nice restrooms and easy access to the beach. There are also wonderful paved nature trails all over the park that are worth checking out.
Wow, there are so many great parks on the Oregon shore and this is a super scenic one. There are lots of spots to get the perfect photo here and hopefully the crowds will be as light as they were in mid-October when we were there.
I like this park as it has both sunny and shady campsites and is close to the beach. It gets crowded so reservations are suggested though spots usually turn up at the last minute since many people book 9 months in advance and then have a change in plans. It's only about a mile south of the Newport marina.
This is one of many of the beautiful beaches along the Oregon Coast. We stopped for a brisk walk on the sand before continuing on our road trip down the coastline. Lovely fresh sea air and essentially empty beach when we were there (but I'm sure the stormy weather had something to do with it!)
Picked this place for our first family camping trip and we couldn't have been happier. Lots of open space in this campground. Close to the beach from any part of the park. Could hear the waves at night, was a very nice touch. Plenty of restrooms and hot showers. This is definitely somewhere we would return to.
Very hard to back in on few places. Also the main dragged was angled in a wrong direction when you first drive in. You have to pretend you're leaving, then back in. The new Showers in the H and "I" tent area had no "hot" water....does get noisy if you are next to a guy with a generator...glad they cut... More
Spent a few days weekend after Labor Day . Park was full but was quiet and peaceful. Was fairly clean even though they had a pretty major storm before we arrived. Bathrooms were clean and showers were hot. It's centrally located to go up and down the coast. We will be back again
Our Church Family have been camping in this campground since I've joined this group of worshipers six years ago...As a matter of fact, this place is where my very first camping experience took place...The Camp Host in the earlier to late 90s were more friendlier or accomodating than today...We love the newly built Family Bathroom per loop sites--its a great... Do the kayak trip on Beaver Creek if you're in decent shape...a lot of paddling in a headwind in the way back.... More
