Beautiful green park. The hours were short. 8 - 4. Lots of trees and picnic tables with river running through it. Many wild/tame deer roaming around.

There is lots to do at the lake like rent a paddle boat or sea doo. Also, shopping swimming, Go Carts, Horse riding or take the Tram. The lake is fairly deep so the water gets really cold a few feet down.

The drive along the lake to get to the park is spectacular. If you're camping, the spaces are generous. The lake is pristeen, glacier-fed, the source right beside the park. Easy access for boating of all kinds (we kayaked). Hiking trails also offer spectacular views, there is a nice restaurant nearby though the park is really more set up for... More

Go when the weather is good. Summer is best. It gets crowded during its festivals so pick an off time the first time you go. Joseph is nearby and has amenities. You can canoe the lake. Fun and beautiful.

We go to the park almost monthly just to enjoy the sight, sounds and smells of the wooded park. Many visitors in the summer and the lake provides swimming, fishing and boating.

Gorgeous views, great hiking area. Can be good for kids go-karts, horses, or people that want to get away to the back country. Cold water.

There is a beautiful Alpine lake for fishing and boating. We love to be there for the 4th of July, when they set off fireworks over the lake.

Outdoor person? There are many jewels in Northeastern Oregons' crown, this being one of them. Another rugged and dramatic scenic trip. A beautiful State Park well worth the visit. Be prepared to keep going back to enjoy different parts. :)

Beautiful. Lovely access to the lake, pretty places to camp, lots of places to picnic. I can imagine the park would be awesome for cross country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter.

We spent Mother's Day weekend this last year at Wallowa Lake and had an awesome time. We've actually been there many times, sometimes to camp, and others just for the day. We always enjoy our time there. It is so beautiful and relaxing. There are a lot of activities available such as, swimming, boating, boat rentals, fishing, go carts, bumper... More
