Wish we had paid more attention to the description. It is actually someone's home. They do open it up on occasion, but unless it is open for an event, you can only view it from afar. Get a local paper to find out when they are having an event. Would have rated it higher had it been an actual attraction.

We enjoy the old Pelican Bay Light house, never been before. the best part is being able to see far out to see the boats and meeting people who care for the Light House. We will won't to stop again when we pass through Crescent City, CA

This is a beautiful lighthouse home that you can see very clearly from sporthaven beach area. The owner does do tours occassionaly via fund raisers such as Habit for Humanity. However, it is rare. Sporthave is a beautiful beach connected to the harbor. Sebastians is a great restaurant down there across from Best Western. Feley's is the best hamburger in... More

Visiting here and watching the pelicans wheel and dive into the Bay was one of the highlights of our recent vacation in Brookings. We liked it so much that we returned several times. There are two private lighthouses along the Oregon coast. One is located just south of Yachats, and the other - Pelican Bay - is located in Brookings Harbor.
