FREE SAMPLES!!! End. The cheese shop offers up unlimited free samples of every cheese - I couldn't find one I didn't like. The shop is pretty good too and the restaurant was doing decent business from the seemingly endless coaches of local tourists. Whatever you do, don't spend (although a low £2.50) on the museum. It's woeful, with little info... More

Wensleydale cheese of Wallace and Grommit fame, the Creamery offers tours of the facility. There is a cafe and shop where you can buy the many cheeses they produce. Good visit.

We visited the creamery and ended up buying lots to take home !! We visited and decided to do the viewing gallery, unfortunately not a lot was happening when we viewed so we didn't really enjoy the experience. The gift shop was full of lovely chimneys and local products

Plenty of car parking, fantastic shop with all sorts of goodies to buy, at reasonable prices. Cheese tasting, and viewing gallery. Cafe on site was fab, really good quality food. Bathroom available too.

Short but interesting museum and a viewing gallery where you can watch cheese being made. Lovely cheese shop where you can taste about 30 cheeses quite freely ... try before you buy! Nice café and restaurant - I had cheese on toast for lunch which was yum :)

We visited the Wensleydale Creamery and was pleasantly suprised at how lovely it is. We ate in the restaurant and the food was of a good standard and reasonable price, service was great too. The little cheese shop is amazing with lots of samples to try, a lovely souveneir shop and a little coffee shop. What a lovely little place.

On the day we visited unfortunately the cheese making was not taking place. The museum wasn't really worth £1.50 each. The tasting room/shop is a big attraction and is the opportunity to select your favourite cheese. The cafe offers good quality reasonably priced food and the place is spotlessly clean throughout with friendly staff. Well worth a visit!

We have recently visited the creamery and had a great time! The museum is not really open at the moment because of refurb but what is there is interesting. watching the cheese being made was fab could have watched and listened all day. The best part is the tasteing section of the shop! We then sat and ate cheese on... More

You cannot come to Hawes and not visit the Wensleydale Creamery! A management buy-out occurred in November 1992 (after Dairy Crest closed in the May) and we have been visiting ever since they got a cafe & museum up and running :-) We have watched it evolve and are pleased with the business' success. Be warned though, opening times can... More

We visited this factory and museum after stopping for lunch at Hawes. It was fun, reasonably priced, some great tourist stuff. Wallace and Grommit etc. and cheese. Delicious cheese all able to be sampled at least a few times. The factory itself had just closed (we spent too long at the cafe and shop) but they let us go through... More
