Through the many galleries, follow the evolution of the Sapper. From military architects and specialists in siegecraft, to the Army's innovators on everything from diving to surveying, flying to photography and transport to combat engineering. Alongside their military exploits, the displays also illustrate the huge contribution of Royal Engineers to civil infrastructure of nations around the world. Did you know the Royal Engineers designed the Royal Albert Hall?Reflecting the international work of the Royal Engineers over the centuries there are also many exquisite ethnographic items from China, Africa, and India. Some highlights include: 25 Victoria Crosses, Wellington's map of Waterloo, Chard's weapons from the Zulu War, and an amazing collection of bridge laying tanks. There is something for everybody at the Royal Engineers Museum. « less

Could not believe there was so much to see. So well presented. Could go back time and again. Covered a huge time in history upto the present day. A lot of interactive displays, fun for adults and children alike. Too much to read on all the displays but did not have to read it all to enjoy what was on... More

Great. This museum shows how how soldiers lived in the trenches of the first world war. There are many many things to see and all with great interest. The medal selection is amazing. The price is affordable and kids will love this as a day out.

We took our Dutch friends there for an afternoon, he's an ex-military man, but even so there is so much there of interest for all the family that an afternoon wasn't quite long enough. Thought that it was very good value, you can use your tickets over and over again for a year.
