View of the lake was awesome with a passage walk on lake's dam to visit Lords points and Shiva temple was cool and silent place

The lake area itself is Quiet & placid, However a check should be kept on the plastic waste/litter on the way.

charlotte lake is at its best in the monsoon july to Oct when it overflows and the mist and rain around the hills makes it look more splendid .

we visited there by horse, nothing more to see there but you will enjoy the climates and you will enjoy roots. even it has two other points near by so you can go there

Its a nice place to spare for sometime. You also have adventure activities around lake. Lord Point is very near to lake. You can also enjoy with some snacks and juices around this place.

This lake is one of the unique attractions of Matheran and I make it a must to visit this place every time I visit Matheran. But I was saddened to see the condition of the lake this time. just bargain the price with the horse provider and give them rs 250 for all points. they will tell you that we will show all 12 points but trust me 3 and 4 points are at the same place so its like they will take you to 3 places which will have 4 points. so avoid giving them more monies.

Charlotte Lake is in a middle of Matheran and may take you an hour or so to reach on foot from the railway station, other ways of reaching this spot is on a horse back.
