Butterfly Sanctuary - Beautiful, but over priced. The lab where the butterfly culturing is displayed is quite informative. Tip - Wear white colored clothes/accessories which would attract butterfly so that you can see butterflies flapping all over you :) More

Always captivated by the beauty of the blue Ulysses butterfly, I learned a lot about why they are so hard to photograph from the very informative guide. This little business has been going for many years ( in fact we were her about 22 years ago!!), dedicated to preserving the butterflies native to the region. Of course I got lots... More

My 10 month old daughter absolutely loved this! It was wonderful to see her point in amasement at the butterflies and watch her eyes light up when they landed on her pram in front of her. And we loved it to. It was magical!!!! More

Plenty of towns have koala hugging, but Kuranda is my first butterfly visit. Not a fan of butterflies but somewhat fascinating and unique. A cut above all the other Australiana touristy crud in town. More

This was the most exquisite experience I have had. The sight of hundreds of butterlies flutter above my head was unbelievable. The pleasure having them land on my arm or hand was one of a kind. I could have spent hours amongst them. More

This is the first butterfly sanctuary I've ever been to and I must admit it is quite interesting. As you walk into the sanctuary, there are hundreds of colorful butterflies flying freely. If you are quick, you will get some amazing pictures of those resting on the railings. One quick tip, the sanctuary is like a glass house enclosure, so... More
