My wife and I attended the Italian Indulgence course at Tideswell. The location is good although parking is a little limited. The course was originally booked as a present for my wife but was eventually persuaded to join her. I was very glad I did. The kitchen was set up for 12 and although space was a little tight it...

A fabulous evening learning about chocolate and tempering it, then making some amazing chocolates to take home. My hubby and myself enjoyed this great evening and would recommend this to all ages. We enjoyed this so much that we are going to try making some at home. The evening was presented by Oliver Dunn a true genius. A must for...

The Middle Eastern Cookery day was simply brilliant in every aspect: great facilities, great chef instructor (thanks Joe), learned lots of new things, but most importantly I felt I had the confidence to do it at home and the motivation to do so. Can't wait to try some of the new dishes at home. I've attended several cookery days/schools elsewhere,...

My experience at the School of Food was bread making but this did include using enriched dough for raisin filled Chelsea buns. A packed morning ( until 1.30 pm ) saw seven of us bake three items each: walnut wholemeal bread, focacia with rosemary and Chelsea buns. We were all successful and our food was delicious. The timing for each...

We were welcomed with a hot drink and a chat with tutor Joe, then headed off to the kitchen. We each had a recipe pack, and the day was a mixture of a little demonstration and...

Calling all budding brewers. I cannot recommend this highly enough. The micro brewery has been designed so that, while small, you can witness and take part in each of the brewing stages, choosing your hops as you go. My nine bottle haul has just been delivered and it was marvelous, if I do say so myself. Thanks you TSoF! Mark,...

Fantastic brewing session with the excellent Kevin who definitely new his stuff. Lovely location and facilities. We were well looked after with tea coffee and bacon rolls. Looking forward to the beer we made arriving in the post.
We had travelled from afar to come for this sausage making class - mostly as we were part of a hen weekend! However, it was a brilliant day and activity. The hosts were entertaining and very experienced/informed/knowledgeable women who knew alot about sausages. And bonus - we got to bring back all 1.5kg of hand-made sausages! A great day out.
