It costs us under $35 for 4 kids to do everything at the park. The kids loved it and I loved that I didn't spend a fortune. Would definitely do again and would recommend to anyone in the area.

We just returned from an outing with our two boys, ages 11 and 12. We all loved this park! We drove over an hour at the suggestion of a friend. It was a perfect way to spend some family time on a Saturday. We spent $40 total to ride the train, visit the zoo, petting zoo, aquarium/serpentarium, paddle boats, play... More

This past week we were in Winston-Salem visiting family. We had a day where we could take our little toddler girl to an outing and so chose the Dan Nichols park in Salisbury, NC based on a suggestion. For us this was roughly an hour's drive. Our experience was favorable and worth the hour's drive with a not quite 2... More

This park is extremely varied with many things to do such as ride the train, visit the nature park, paddle boat on the lake, ride the carousel, play on the playground, pan for gems etc. The little nature park or zoo is extremely nice for a one dollar admission and has bobcats, bears, foxes, deer and red wolves as their... It has several different size palygrounds for outdoor play for the kids. There is a train and gem mining for rocks. Some things cost, but it is not expensive.

Whoever had the idea to make such a park, had a totally awesome idea. This park has a fantastic layout filled with animals, a nature center, aquarium, carousel, miniature train, paddle boats, several amazing playgrounds and more. There is also a campground, but book early as the sites fill quickly. If you do camp, bring your bikes as there ate... More

We took the Grandkids to the Park for the playground and rides and the lake. This is a nice County Park with a small zoo and Gem Panning. A nice size lake, about 6 Acres, has paddle boats for rent and is nice to take kids for a spin around the lake. There is a nice Merry-Go-Round and a small... More

My family has been coming here for years. It appears that they take excellent care of the grounds, equipment and attractions. It was a day out with Girl Scout Friends and family and you can not beat the prices. $1 here .50 there. The kids loved it. The most expensive thing there was the gold mine but remembering from past... More
