We stopped here to camp for the night on our Road Trip from Darwin to Perth in September 2006. We were in a 4WD, and would recommend one to access the camping area behind the Mt. Barnett Roadhouse. However we did see a standard pickup pulling a big, one axle caravan - amazing.
