Croyde can have a world class break. Can get very busy at times with surf schools and kooks. Sea is clean, beach is clean and when the surf is good its the best place to be! More

Visited Croyde beach last summer whilst on holiday here. We love Saunton Sands the most, but Croyde is still a lovely large sandy beach. We spent an afternoon here, did all the usual family stuff like building sandcastles, went in the sea and spent a lot of time looking in all the rock pools. Finished off with an icecream. There... Hard to explain in words what this experience has done for me it was so much more than just surfing lessons and this was then complimented with such a great team - I have never felt so relaxed and at place in my life. I would suggest anyone try surfing as there is no better way to discover yourself then... More

New surfers are looked after in a segregated part of the beach by the life guards whilst more experienced surfers can enjoy consistently great waves. Loads of surfing schools to choose from and good beach facilities More

Smallish beach, with great waves. This is proved by the many surf shops where you can hire or buy all the gear. The other side of Croyde is a picturesque village with plenty of places to eat and drink. Regular open-air markets and other events through the summer More

Croyde is a great surf beach, and well looked after with the life-guards out daily, even into October. There were a lot of surfers out there though and if we had all tried to squeeze between the flags in the designated zone there would have been a lot of collisions. Works well near low tide with long rides in good... More
