Its a tough walk up, but worth the trip, the stairs are uneven and steep, we went after a snow fall so it was wet and muddy at the top but it was well worth the climb

There are a lot of steps but just about anyone can take their time and ascend them. Then just a short walk to an amazing waterfall.

Mingo Falls is a not so hidden jewel near Cherokee, NC. It is a suppose to be the tallest falls in this part of NC and well worth the trek up a set of steep stairs.

Only 30 minute drive from Harrahs, it is a beautiful little afternoon delight. Half mile past the Cherokee KOA campground, very little signage. You can't hear the falls until you are at least half way up the steps. The steps are steep at first, not easy for short people. But, worth the walk.
