The Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte may hold 15,000 for a concert, BUT, it feels like a smaller and more intimate venue. Great food and beverage choices going well beyond the standard hamburgers, fries and a Coke. You could actually plan on having dinner and a nice glass of wine right at the arena! We look forward to many... More
We went to a concert at the TWC Arena recently and had a great time. The arena did a great job with security, cleanliness and crowd control. Being that the area sits in downtown Charlotte, and this concert was a big one, we knew traffic and parking would be difficult. However, what we didn't expect to find was so few... More
This was my first Pearl Jam concert, my first trip to Charlotte, NC. and my first time at the Time Warner Cable Arena. The sound is great! We got inside quickly, the security worked quickly and thoroughly to get us in. Its clean and everyone of the staff were filled with that Southern charm. Cant be beat! Amazing show and... More
Fortunately enough we saw a great seats... But I paid for that. The line to get into the entrance took forever. I have never waited that long to walk through the gates of a venue. Once in, we went to get a drink. The line was about 8 people deep and took 20+ minutes. Most people just ordering a drink.... More
Went for a Charlotte Bobcats basketball game. The team itself was not very impressive but the stadium made up for the lack of talent. The scoreboard is very unique and worth taking a few minutes to study. I suggest attending a Charlotte Checkers hockey game as well. Enjoyed the experience!
This is a huge arena and great for sporting events, etc. Not so great to see a one-person act unless you have really great tickets. Had floor seats one time to see a singer and had to stand the entire time because everyone was standing around us... learned our lesson! Also, if you have tickets for the opposite side of... More
This place is a must for conventions. We had over 20,000 Business Partners gather here and we had a blast and the seats were very comfortable. We are ready to go there again for sure. Handle your Business in an arena like this, you will not regret it.
If you are going to sell bottles of water let us have the bottle. The cheap cup you pour the bottle in has no lid and how the heck can we carry that back to our seats? I tried to pay extra and get a cup with a lid but was told that would be $11.50 since I had to... More
Parking in the area is surprisingly reasonable - sometimes even free spots can be snagged. I attend Charlotte Checkers hockey games primarily - always easy to get a ticket, wide concourses for walking around. Nice bars on each side of arena. Went to a Bobcats game - sat in the nosebleeds with binoculars. There were plenty of empty seats downstairs... More
