The uptown Mint Museum is well worth visiting. Their Romare Beardon collection is well worth the price of admission, and their special exhibitions are always interesting.

I wrote a review on The Mint Museum Uptown, which--as far as I can tell--is the same as this museum. There are at least two branches of this museum and it's easy to get confused. Can TripAdvisor sort this out?

I enjoy coming to this museum a couple of times a year. The special exhibits are great. They have free lectures once a month that are very interesting. I love this museum and hope they continue to be a part of Charlotte for years to come.

We showed up late in the afternoon on a day when we had just arrived and decided to just spend a few moments at this museum. We wound up wishing that we had all day to spend here. Wow! Went with my 3yr old and 5 yr old so things were on an "accelerated" timeline (gotta keep those attention spans focused). They LOVED the kids arts and crafts room on the main lobby. The collection of painting at the Mint (Randolph) is small and limited in scope, but its exhibits of pottery (especially the current special exhibit featuring Henry Cohen), ceramics, and textiles is worth a visit. Don't miss the room featuring contemporary Carolina potters. This museum has no cafe, so fuel up before you arrive.

This is a nice place for plays and is very clean. This place is always sparkling clean. ANd provides parking for the guest!
