There is a pretty view but there are so many of them that the only reason to get off the Blue Ridge and visit it, in my opinion, was a legend of the place. If you need a quick stop, visit it. Otherwise, it can be skipped. More

The natural elements are grand. The man made ones are in need of some attention, It's looking a little tired. More

I have been to Blowing Rock several times, but never went to visit 'The Blowing Rock'. I just didn't think it was a big deal, so this go around, I decided to go. Yes, it is a little expensive to see a rock and some pretty flowers and do some sight seeing through the 25 cent binoculars, BUT as my... More

It is bad enough to pay to see and hear absolutely nothing, but, then to exit through the "gift shop"simply adds salt to the wound. Better views from the. BRP. More

The Blowing Rock is a great place to take your friends if they've never been to Blowing Rock ... It is of course where the name of the town originates so you have to see it. On a clear day you can see forever, and it is beautiful. A little pricey for what you get to see, and definitely don't... More

Very poor value for money . The restaurant was closed . The "Hype" about the blowing rock did not live up to the expectation, very little to see other than a small rock over hang, The views were mediocre, saw much better on the Blue ridge Parkway. Not worth $6.00, wouldnt be worth taking children there. gift shop was wildly... More

This was very disappointing. There are some nice views here but nothing you can' see from any overlook off the Blue Ridge Parkway. When you go to see the Blowing Rock you're going to see the rock behind the legend. The rock itself is about 1/10 the size I thought it would be and is nothing special. You can walk... More

Drove 20 miles paid $6/person and walked out of the gift shop 2 feet an said well that's the blowing rock. Very disappointing. It took 10 minutes to tour. But thats because we brown bagged our lunch since we thought it might take an hour or 2. Seriously 2 feet out of gift shop and it's over. We talked to... More
