I love the ferry! I take it anytime I head to New England--it's soooo relaxing & really breaks up the driving! It's worth the extra few dollars for the priority service- first on, first off & not the dreaded upper deck (that alone is worth it to me!!) also love the SeaJet service to the casinos--more than worth the money!... It is practically a transportation no glamor or atmosphere, it is good for that. Don't expect much, it is -after all- the only option you have to cross the sound. The best part is looking out the windows and enjoying the ride. Food, not impressive, just a chow!

The ferry from Orient Point, NY was a treat after driving through NYC to Long Island. It saved us nearly two hours of driving, and we had a beautiful day to see the sites along the way.
