I love the raw look of this place and the way they show the art works. For example i was searching for a Pipilotta Rist video and could not find it ... It was hidden in a small hole in the floor! The entrance is free if you have visited MoMA.

Interesting outpost of Moma well worth a trip to Long Island (easy on subway.)
We arrived to be told that lots of the exhibitions were closed because they were being rehung / prepared, but we could go on a free public tour if we wished - so we gave it a go! Quite a variety of art here - some...

Had to go there to believe that MoMA would convert a former school into an outpost for modern art in, of all places, Long Island CIty! For some reason, the neighbourhood and the inside conversion all works...

I'm maybe not the most "artsy" person ever (unlike the family members with whom I went this summer), still it was captivating. And honestly, in this city, it is great to see such a large space opened up to the art scene! Some of the installations are really "far out", but recommended for some good ol' mind bending!
i like PS1. I like it with friends, and by myself. I like it even when i don't like all of the stuff that's being shown, because somehow the sum is always greater than the individual bits, summed. It is super-easy to get to from manhattan, and well worth your time (if you're a visitor) or your repeat time (if...

I'd never been to Long Island before! But it was an easy trip. A short metro trip away, and a great, great building to host modern art. Loved the art installations in the basement, and how artists have placed with the walls and structure and space of the building.
We liked some of the pieces, and some, not as much....

MOMA's collection here at PS1 is amazing. It's fabulous space, nicer than my public elementary school at the other end of Queens. Well worth the quick subway ride and off the usual radar. You'll be happy you went.
Not known from the massive public you have to take a subway to the Queens , line 7 ,to reach this very interesting museum which represents the most dramatic works of Art respect to its elder brother, the MOMA.
Situated in an old Queens Primary School , the place is a destination in itself. Ancient Classrooms, students stairs, bricks and...
