The Ace of Diamonds is the best place for great Herkimer Diamonds. The store has a lot of great finds and tools.

The Ace Mine is a little rough around the edges (very dark and rudimentary bathrooms), but hunting for Herkimer Diamonds here (keep everything you find for the low daily entrance fee) is much more rewarding than at other nearby mines. Lots of fun for families. Wear sturdy footwear and clothes that can get dirty!

We decided to go on an adventure and picked The Ace of Diamonds Mine in Herkimer, NY. I can honestly say I didn't think two people close to 60 would enjoy cracking rocks so much. This is so much fun and it sure brings out the kid in you. Such a good time and I WANT to go BACK.

We read the Tripadvisor reviews before we went and decided this mine would be the most interesting.
