One of six working carousels in the region given by George F. Johnson, this is a 60 animal carousel. Patrons can ride for free. This carousel was made in 1925 it is in very good condition. There is the original 2-roll frame WurliTzer Military Band Organ with bells, not working the day I visited. Carousel enthusiasts will enjoy the visit... more

i was born and raised in binghamton new york.grew up in recreation park. it has seen it's better days i am sure.but, the park is a monument to the city and it's youngsters as well as it's elders. the carousel" merry go 'round" as we called it as kids was a great place to hang out and have alot of... more

There is a carousel in a few of the Binghamton city parks. It would be a stretch to call them amusement parks (tiny concrete pools, lots of link fence, a few basketball hoops, small swing/climbing sets).
