You will be amazed that this small, local museum is this good! % or 6 seperate rooms, each with a differant 'flavor' and a complete miners cabin brought down, piece by marked and numbered piece, by some of the local citizens and reassembled 'by the numbers'. I totally disagree with the 'very dusty' comments. The docents there will answer questions... More

Its the only museum in town so I guess they have a monopoly. They had a nice location and nice exhibits. I just wasn't a fan of the dust everywhere. Everything felt dirty and grimy. Its not totally necessary to see this museum. Just wikipedia geronimo.

From the outside this does not look like much, but as we walked through the warren of rooms we were impressed. This museum gives a very picture of how Truth or Consequences got it's name, a great overview of the Apaches, and has one of the best collections of Native American pottery I have ever seen. Worth the cost of... More

This was a real gem of a museum with ton of information about the Apache Indians of the area, the city of Truth or Consequences and how it got it's name and lots of other info. There was even a real log cabin to go into and see how people lived years ago. The only downside of this experience was... More

It has lots of great info about the area, and is not boring at all!!! The log cabin is really cool, the photos, Indian artifacts, and the info about how Truth or Consequences got its name is also very interesting.

Wonderful collection of historical artifacts and dioramas that reflect the late-19th to 20th century history of the town. A couple of special parts of the museum include: 1.the unbelievably huge collection of arrowheads put together and framed by a couple of local collectors and donated to the museum, 2. a similarly large collection of Indian pottery by the Mogollon peoples... I have never seen a collection of prehistoric and historic Native American pots as large as this one, not even in the Smithsonian. It is truly astounding. We spent 3 hours in a relatively small museum which is totally in the hands of private historical association. The collections are mostly donations and on loan, and the collection of arrowheads, spear... More

A real gem of a place packed with interesting material on T or C, Geronimo and the surrounding area. I particularly liked all the old photos of what are now ghost towns and of the construction of the nearby dam on the Rio Grande.

We were impressed with all there is to see. It looks small from the outside but once you go in there is a ton of interesting things to see. They even have a mastodon skull! we were pleasantly surprised that it offered so much. They also have a little kid area where the kids can explore rocks and other things.... More

Terrific native pottery collection! Good information on Ralph Edwards and the history of T or C, as well as an earlier local - Geronimo!
