Just finished the Seafood class with Dean. Have only one complaint which I can not blame Dean for- I ate too much of the wonderful food we cooked. The trip to the markets was enjoyable - so many types of fish and the typical market hustle and bustle. The class was relaxed, fun and educational. The resulting meal ws worth... More

How good was this! Four of us decided to do something different while enjoying Bali, and Chef Dean's Cooking was a great way to explore the traditional culinary delights and the amazing mixes of foods and spices. Once we met Chef Dean we headed to the Denpassar market and gathered an array of fresh vegetables, poultry, spices and fruit (how... More

Attended Dean Fisher's Badung Spice Class in Seminyak which was just fantastic! Joined 6 other Australian 'foodies' for 7 hours journey which included a visit to the Denpasar Markets, wonderfully refreshing drinks and together we prepared an amazing feast of Balienese dishes which has to be experienced to be believed. We were shown and were involved in every aspect of... More

Today we did the Badung Spices class with Chef Dean. The day began with a trip to the Denpasar market which was amazing to say the least. The market experience is one you probably wouldn't do without a guide. It was fun and educational and a sensory overload! I absolutely loved it and would have walked away happy just with... More

If you are interested in food, cooking and eating you'll be in heaven for the day. Dean, super nice and knowledgeable but a great teacher too will walk you through some amazing Balinese dishes. We were very well taken care of with 5 great drinks made of different fruits and chocolate. I'd go again if I was staying longer!

Just finished the day with Dean and his cooking class. It was terrific, Dean explained all the spices and how the base bumbu pastes are made and the many variations in how they are used. We also got to get hands on cooking our afternoon meal which was sensational. Dean is a very good communicator, the ingredients were top class... More

I enjoyed myself thoroughly. The class was easy to understand / follow. The trip to the markets was very informative. Drinks & nibbles whilst we learnt. I'm testing out my newly learnt cooking skills on my friends next week. I would recommend this class to anyone travelling to Bali.
