Great infrastructure and trails, good for those around NYC seeking to learn skiing or snowboarding. The prices were a little bit salty though.

I want to start off by saying that, the trails are great!! I have no problem with those, it was the workers their. To start off, I had accidentally gone down a very bad trail that was just rocks and mud, and a rock buckled me over the handle bars. I hit a tree, and the bikes handle bars were...

We went up to Mountain Creek for a day out in the snow in what was likely one of the last weekends of the season. As a first-time skier I opted for the Ski Lesson package whilst my husband spent the day snowboarding.
The parking is plentiful and there was a shuttle offering trips up the hill (which is easily...

If you want a decent ski area in the NY Metro area this is about your only option. It is a very commercial operation and they have made great efforts to modernize and update, both the amenities and the ski area (i.e. lifts). Not all that challenging terrain, but better than the other local alternatives.
We just returned from a 3 day trip to Mountain Creek during Presidents week. It was our first visit to this NJ ski area. We have 3 children ages 8, 11, & 13. We are all beginners except our 13 year old who normally can ski black diamond trails. Our 8 and 11 year old had only skiied once before....

We had our doubts about going to Mountain Creek on a weekend, especially since we just had a nice foot plus of snow dumped on us a few days earlier, but it was the closest option, so we went. The newer lodge is nice, but we had to wait longer than a few minutes for a shuttle from the parking...

I can accept the crappy snow conditions; after all, this is New Jersey. What I cannot accept is that the resort does nothing to control the loud, swearing, ill-mannered, line-cutting, smoking, speeding hordes of single males that swarm the mountain on weekends.
If you have children, (or just value civil behavior) you will avoid Mountain Creek. It's not worth it...

I decided to take my girls for a day of snow tubing. I ALMOST did not go here because of the bad reviews I came across. I live in Long island, it took us about 2 hours to get here because of the traffic in the Bronx. We arrived at 11:45 parked in the lot for snow tubing and took...

We arrived 9:30 AM and it took five different lines and rude personnel and 3 hours to get our rentals. Total chaos. We got stuck on Our first lift mid air for twenty minutes. A small Mac and cheese, French fries, a drink and a tasty cake cost $17. This place can not accommodate the crowds. Will never return.
Over crowded Holiday weekend no place for non skiing Mom to relax or pull in to park for short visit to check in and lockers way too small! Nice updates to lodge but hard to take in with so many people
