Good shows but horrible seating. Couldn't actually sit properly without having knees actually stuck on front seatbacks. Very uncomfortable. More

If you find the time to catch a show at McCarter, do so. There are beautiful productions and the building itself is a masterpiece. More

this is a lovely theater with good acoustics and it's close to home. plays some good some so-so but still a good evening out. the one big negative in my book is the women's room. during intermissions, the wait is very very long. tickets can be pricey. still we go back time and again because it's an enjoyable experience. McCarter does plays right. The physical building is beautiful, the sound is great. The plays are great. I last saw A Christmas Carol at McCarter-wow! to was awesome. A great variety of shows adds to its specialness. More

This is a gem of a theatre. We attended the play Travesties, which was fantastic. The theatre itself is beautiful and has comfortable with two wonderful areas to eat and drink before and/or after performances. The only negatives I found was that the lines for both the men and woman's bathrooms were very long at intermission. More

I subscribe to the play series--5 per season. At least 3 of the 5 are memorable for their quality and innovative approach. The seating is comfortable, and assistive listening devices are free. I will continue to subscribe. More
