Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is a fun and enlightening place for everyone to enjoy. Here at the Science Center, we house and exhibit many different wild animals, including river otters, mountain lions, bobcats, deer, bears, birds, foxes, and skunks. The wild animals at Squam Lakes Natural Science Center are ambassadors of their species, here for the purpose of educating our visitors about New Hampshire's natural world. Most are orphaned, injured, or otherwise unable to survive in the wild. Observing these animals up-close, together with experiencing our hands-on exhibits, offers visitors the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of our native wildlife and appreciation of the natural world.

A wonderful learning experience for all ages. Not a 'zoo' but many native critters to see and lots of wonderful natural history displays. The boat tour around Squam Lake is not to be missed

Thanks for the great review! We hope you continue to make us a regular stop on your vacation. Be sure to check out our revamped White-tailed Deer exhibit - we have upgraded some of the exhibits in the deer building - and our new Blue Jay Exhibit which is a study to help promote citizen scientists.

The Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is such a wonderful place to get back to nature and to see live animals native to New Hampshire in their "natural" setting. I always take people who are visiting me there in the summer and fall. The demonstrations and talks about these animals are very well done. I enjoy watching the children's eyes...

What a treat for families. Entry fee is a little pricey, but you get a lot for your money, including animal demonstrations and presentations by trained staff. The playhouse for kids is an amazing treat too. The animals are varied and well-cared for. Nice day.

Grownups and kids alike will enjoy a trip to the Science Center.. in fact there is almost too much to absorb in one visit. It is clean, well kept, very informative yet not overwhelming. It is so apparent that the animals are well cared for. If you are looking for Disneyland.. keep driving. But if you are looking to see...

We took a 2 hour boat tour with the science center and really enjoyed it. The guide was knowledgable and friendly and the lake is lovely.
