If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We’re four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there’s the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge. Finally, just so you’re aware, The World Aquarium is not part of City Museum, but a non-profit located within us. There is an additional charge to go in their space. « less

This place is a giant playground for kids! Every corner, hole, pole, (anywhere you can think off) is an adventure for anyone who can squeeze through that spot. There weren't many particularly educational sections for adults but it's a great place to go if you want to just bring out your inner-child and start exploring like a five-year old. Unfortunately... WOW - That's what we said pulling up to this Museum and going inside. OMG!! This place is worth the cost. There is a entrance fee, that gets you into most of the building. They do have an Aquarium and a Roof Top that cost a few bucks more to get into..... BUT BUT BUT the main building and everything... More

I had so much fun at this giant playground hiding behind the name of "museum" that I had to return with my kids. Keep in mind that I lived in Montana so it was not a quick trip! And after crawling through caves, climbing in "trees", sliding down about a dozen varieties of slides (including the 10 story one from... More

Just plain indescribable fun for kids of all ages. Google them to understand. Two business colleagues are now planning an STL trip JUST to bring their kids to CM. It's not a museum, it's an experience closer to a fantasy playground. It's interactive, experiential, and an exploration. The slide is 10 stories (yup, ten) tall. Literally EVERY where you look... This is a climb up, down, around, get lost, find your way out kind of place. I have 4 teenage children. We had a great time at City Museum. I can see why someone with smaller children might be worried, but I'd say it's a safe environment. It's like no other museum, period. I can't wait to return. We left,... More

Took our kids--10 and 16--here for an evening. There is actually a museum but you'd be hard pressed to have time for it. Tunnels, caves, multiple-story slides. We spent hours and could have stayed hours more if not totally exhausted. Also, for bedraggled parents, there is a rooftop bar. Don't be deceived--the bar and building are both sort of dives... More

I was a little skeptical of this but my kids had an amazing time! I was a little nervous with some of the various tunnels, bridges, caverns & ropes! The tree house was just beautiful! But it was worth the $12 ticket price. We paid the extra $5 to go to the rooftop & that was amazing! We were just... More

The place was very enjoyable, not just for kids, but also adults. So much to do and learn. I would highly recommend this attraction to everyone.

This place is fantastic for adults and kids alike. It is like no place I've ever been before. We took my daughter when she was just shy of being two and then we went again when she was 4 and her sister was a little over 2. It was a toss up between whether my kids or my husband enjoyed... More
