I have always wanted to visit a FLW house and this was my first. It was in every sense a very intimate visit - just 11 of us and the docent. The visit lasted about an hour and half including the 17 minute introductory video. The whole visit was unhurried and we had ample opportunity to view the house and... More

A must see if you have never seen one of his homes. It kinda blows your mind when you think the homeowners were told what furniture they should have and how to build it right down to the last nail. I had always wanted to tour one and I was glad we were able to go. You will need reservations... More

This amazing Frank Lloyd Wright is available to tour by appointment only so plan ahead as you don't want to miss it. The house has been carefully restored and is an impeccable representation of FLW's work. Beautifully sighted and masterfully built this architectural triumph pulls you back to anther time. The vision of a small utilitarian home anchored to the... More

and only Wednesday - Sunday. We came through St. Louis on a Monday, drove out to this Frank Lloyd House, and were so disappointed that we could not even see the exterior. The long drive up was gated.

This is a small but lovingly maintained home with all the original furnishings, including Wright designed furniture. One of the more interesting parts of the tour is learning what it was like for a home builder to stick to the design, materials specified in every detail, taking over ten years to come close to finishing the home! Well worth a... More

Excellent docent tour of this unusual house. Wright was an interesting character. Anxious to tour other houses that he designed.

I am a Frank Lloyd Wright buff and have been to this house several times---but just can't get enough. Mary Dale was the docent on this tour and frankly I learned things I had not known previously. The house is very small but placed well on a beautifully landscaped 10+ acres in suburban St. Louis. If you are in the... More

Have visited many Frank Lloyd Wright homes in the Midwest this is one of the few that actually had the original furniture and textiles in it. The folks that gave the tour seemed to know Mr. Wright so they were able to add to the experience.

This house isn't very big, but you get to see all of it up close. Typical Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, and the house is mainly designed around 2 big parallolgrames. And many more included in the design. Tour has to be arranged in advance, but it is a nice tour lasting about 1 hour and 15 minutes which includes a... More

A bit smaller and more compact than most of Wright's houses, this features his usual wonderful warm woods. Situated on the brow of the hill, it offers a carport, an attached office, and typical little closet space. It's owned by the St Louis County Parks Department and so is not open every day - call for tour times.
