One of the finest theatres for young people in the country resides right here in Kansas City. They also produce a variety of educational opportunities and even off site productions for an older audience. Brilliant community of artists.

This theatre has grown over the years. It has always produced children's productions so my first encounter with this was on a school trip. However, they have expanded to include teen plays and writer's roundtables. They always do quality work and the performances are very professional. Fun place to go in the heart of a fun shopping center, Crown Center.

We saw Shrek, it was great, my 5 year old loved it! We didn't get there early enough and our group of 8 couldn't sit together.

Me and Sarah took the kids to watch Shrek. It is a nice place to go for Kid's plays! It is small, and you can sit right near the action

We took our 9 and 7-year old to see "Shrek: The Musical" there last year. The venue is small in a good way. The kids got to sit on the floor very close to the action and the actors even interacted with the children throughout the performance. We'll be back!

The play "Number the Stars" was incredible. My 12 year old and I like to go to plays and movies based on books we have read and do a compare/contrast discussion afterwards. We were impressed with the changes made to bring it to the stage. The actors portrayed their characters well, and it was easy to get caught up in... More

I have been to several plays at the Coterie on school field trips. The intimate theater doesn't have a bad seat in the house. The quality of the performers and sound system is amazing. The tickets are reasonably priced and the location is premier. A fun way to spend part of the day at Crown Center!

I used to go here with middle school students once a year to see plays. Great seating and wonderful, wonderful plays!! A terrific way to introduce youth to theater and learn respect in the theater.

We love this well-crafted theater that gives every member of the audience a front-row experience. Each of the shows we've seen have been good stories well told with high quality production values and great acting.
