I just heard that my company is taking their Christmas in July trip again on the Mississippi rivers Paradise Lady. We took this trip years ago and found out that they have moved the river operations back to the gorge! Beautiful location and the last cruise was very memorable for being my first company party ever. I brought my family... More

My kids gave me a gift certificate for the Minneapolis Queen and I decided to use it Oct. 8th to see the fall color and enjoy a brunch. What a disappointment!! The boat went north from Boom Island Park and there is NOTHING but ugly industrial proerties to look at - no trees, no beach areas, nothing!! The narration was... More

If you want to pay $80 per person to travel up the Mississippi to see practically nothing, by all means take this cruise. Yes, I said $80 per person for a 2-hour cruise with dinner. There are far better options for spending time on the river -- all of them more worthwhile than this one. Save your money. Don't go... More

I purchased (2) tickets and one of us got sick the day we were to attend the cruise. When I called to ask if the days could be switched, they said I would have to call back the next day (Monday) to ask. I called back and they said that there are no refunds or exchanges. Waste of money and... More

Two parts to this experience- the river cruising and the brunch food. The beautiful yacht cruises up river where there is not much scenery, just scrap metal and a couple bridges. Then they reverse course and take us to the edge of Minneapolis to the Hennepin Avenue bridge and turn around to go back to the dock at Boom Island.... More

I would not do the Brunch Buffet. There wasn't any coffee ready when we boarded. We waited for the line to get smaller, big mistake! By the time we got to the food it was all picked over. I asked about refilling the hot plates and was told that was all they brought. I feel you should be able to... More

The boat is very nice, the people working it are too. However, the tour is a bit lackluster. It is not a very scenic tour, more historical, which is good. It's just kind of.....boring.

Great experience, great service and good food, really. Just remeber to check if they are going down thru the locks. It's great, but if they go just to another way, it's still nice cruise anyway.

My wife and I took the Friday evening dinner cruise with friends. The food was excellent, and staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. While it was a little disappointing they couldn't go through the locks, the trip upriver was still enjoyable and it was interesting to see the mix of industry, history, and wildlife (herons and an eagle) that make... We had chosen Paradise Charter Cruises to host a Young Alumni Social event for our alma mater. There were 145 attendees, the boat's capacity. We were aboard the Paradise Lady which was a beautiful yacht with all the extras: satellite radio, outdoor patio decks on both floors, well-stocked bar, space to accommodate a small live band. The real positive that... More
