All our adventures are led by local bilingual guides. All our tours are designed to give you an exceptional inside experience of the people, culture, traditions and landscapes of this country. Many of our tours take you right into the homes of local artists where you can watch or learn hands on traditional art forms or cuisine.We also offer customized tour packages, allowing you to design your own adventure or itinerary. All of our adventures focus of giving you the most amazing experience of Nicaragua while at the same helping support the local community. For every tour you take a percent of all our profits go directly towards the non-profit community projects that we support as part of Foundación Hokano.We work with local poor people to empower them to get involved in tourism for better life conditions and teaching them to protect the environment around them. Tours range from volcano hikes, islands, lakes and beaches, visits to local artists and artisans in which you are invited to learn hands on traditional art forms such as primitivism painting, guitar making, sawdust carpets and ceramic sculpting.An important initiative we have is voluntourism: We believe it is an important part of making tourism more sustainable, that it provides travellers and communities a way to connect, to learn, to appreciate each other's cultures, and work towards a better future. Our Voluntours provide opportunities for travellers to engage in community projects that are working on health, education, conservation and small business opportunities around.

All the sights and info are good. The major problem was if you don't have exact change when you're out on your tours don't be expecting it back.After the rum tasting one of their employees took the group out to a club & street burgers after. He insisted on collecting money from everyone for burgers and nobody had exact change... More

Best tours ever with Aron and Larry! These guys really take care of there guests! The Telica Tour we did was amazing. One of the best trips I ever had. Seeing Lava and then the night hike down the volcan was incredible! Go with those youn guys and you wont regret it!!

If you want to experience the true "Nica" experience, you have to take the Revolutionary Tour with Carlos from Hokano Adventures.
