Nice little zoo. I like the layout and the size. Not all zoos need to be an all day or 2 day affair. Pony rides, for additional, at entrance are a nice touch. Will return. Great for little ones!

It's a small zoo, but nice for an afternoon with the kids. Don't plan on needing a full day here. It's easy to get to and plenty of parking.
I'd definitely visit it again. But it wasn't the best zoo. I really did love it but there was something I didn't really like about it but I don't know what it was. But overall it was a great zoo.
I've lived in Lansing since 1980 and this zoo has gone way down hill since I was a kid. There are a few newer things (edu center), but other than that...things have actually VANISHED.

Due in part to its small size, not all animals are represented here but enjoy to make this a fun stop. The Potter Park Zoo is a...

Potter Park is a small city zoo, but what they lack in fanfare they make up in quality exhibits. There is a wide variety of animals, and no matter when I go they always seem to be out doing something! It is clean and well kept. The small size makes it great for less-able family members, maximizing animals seen per...

Great place to celebrate Halloween. Be sure to dress up regardsless of your age. Check the weather and dress appropriately.
Its a great place to enjoy family time. They have a picnic area and nature trails to walk all kinds of animals kids love to see
Our family does an annual trip to the festival of lights every December. They put a ton of christmas lights up at the zoo and have music, cookies, etc. It's a lot of fun.
Go to the Zoo at night. It's probably going to be freezing, but seeing the nocturnal animals so active is worth it! The lion, the tigers and the monkeys were awesome and scary at the same time! PS: If you go right after Christmas it's even better, because of all the beautiful lights and christmas trees.
