This stop was part of our bus tour for the festival and although it was sprinkling while we were there, we enjoyed walking around and seeing the tulips. The shops weren't bad, but we found better souvenirs elsewhere on our trip. It was worth checking out and we were glad we went, although we were disappointed that we couldn't buy... More

I went here early during the week of Tulip Time Festival to avoid any large bus crowds. I was able to take my dog as well. It was a fun little mock Dutch village (I think it would be nice if they put some kind of barrier up to block off views of the highway.) The grounds were well maintained... More

Holland, Michigan is a pretty little town, made even more so by the thousands of tulips in bloom all over town. However, beware of tourist traps, namely the Dutch Village. It's a collection of tacky souvenir stores gathered in one place, and you're charged $10 per person for the opportunity to shop there. The only store worth visiting is the... More

My husband and I visiting this weekend during the Tulip Time Festival (without any children). As previous member's say the location isn't great. On a busy commercialized portion of 31. But once you are in the park (even though you can see the road and lots of surrounding stores from some areas) I think it's o.k. The dance demonstrations were... More

We went to Dutch Village based on locals recommendation. I would suggest Windmill Island. Dutch Village was a poor recreation.

When we arrived I was instantly turned-off by the location. Once in the park it seems okay but outdated. There were a lack of staffing when we were there and appeared to more stores than actual things to do. Had I not had a groupon to get in for half price I would have been really disappointed.

Especially for families with children this will be very special when the updates are complete. I was pleased to read, after our visit today, in the local Holland newspaper that the owner is in progress with several updates. Very nice staff and educational exhibits/entertainment, but just not enough going on yet to make it worthwhile.

Fun stop for history and beauty. Went there as an afterthought. The family enjoyed our time there. Spent maybe 2 hours there, took lots of pictures(great place to go for Senior pics or pictures of the kids and family with the many different backdrops and colors). Replication of life in the Netherlands, and put together very well. We'll be going back... More

We decided to see Dutch Village just before heading home and didn't have a lot of time here. We visited the shops and found a great place that makes candles. We had been on a search for a unity candle for our wedding a found this place...Holland House Candles. They make the best candles and unity candles, no lie! Not... More

I love, love, love this place. It is very small and won't even take an entire day to get through, but I've spent so much time in small villages in the Netherlands that this makes me feel homesick. It resembles them so much! The neat paths and brick buildings really do resemble closely the old Dutch villages with their picturesque... More
