Nice but I would expect more cars and exhibits from an organization with a title like this located in Motor City.

Great place for car guys to spend a day and see the history in this place. Everything from planes, trains and automobiles as well as nostalgia items and interactive displays. A great place to take your family.
This is a hall of fame, so while thete a few exhibits, it's a lot of reading about individuals who created the auto and allied industries. So it's not for everyone, but I loved it. If you zip on through, it's probably less than an hour. Reading much of the material and you can enjoy a couple hours easily.
Celebrating major contributors to motoring manufacture, this museum provides an insight to those it recognises. If you're deeply interested in the peple who led the American Motor industry, this is the place to learn more. It's a specialist interest place, not for the family.
Being near the automotive capital of the world (or at least in the US!), it's natural to have a terrific museum like this one to learn about the evolution of the automobile. The cars are beautifully displayed and provides you with a wonderful sense of nostalgia - a must see!
The Auto Hall Of Fame museum is avery interesting place to visit. As it is on the same property as The Henry Ford , it goes hand in hand. This museum is all about the people associated with the auto industry , not the cars itself.
lots of interesting vehicles including Presidential cars from Teddy Roosevelt's carriage, to JFK's limo in which he was shot, and Ronald Reagan's. Most moved though by the bus Rosa Parks was on, and was arrested for refusing to move to the back, in the days of segregation between black & white - that left a deep impression on me.
Then a trip to the Automotive Hall of Fame is an excellent side trip to The Henry Ford. It gives so much history on the evolution of cars and worldwide leaders in engineering them!
I have planned many field trips to this museum. They are very accomodating for high school kids. They give a scavenger hunt worksheet to the kids and let them go to town...not sure how it is now that Stephanie is not here but she was the greatest field trip guide...
This is a trip down USA autop history in a compact place, I especially like the story about the woman driving cross country
