Edward Gorey's home is a gem and well worth a visit especially if you are interested in the artist behind the marvelous stories he wrote and illustrated.

This is a nice take in if you're looking for something to do on a non-beach day. Edward Gorey was an animal-loving artist who was quite famous, and we are proud that he lived right here on old Cape Cod. You can get a guided tour of his house and some of his favorite things. It's interesting and different.

Took the granddaughters on a very rainy Sunday and they loved the treasure hunt. We spent, easily two hours looking everything over. The pouring rain just contributed to the ambience of the visit!

We were given a tour which lasted about an hour on a weekday in August. There are many interesting items to see and prints, etc. available for purchase. The home is a traditional...

The gothic side of Edward Gorey is just one component of his complex personality, and I believe that any true fan would be fascinated by the multifaceted aspects of his life. Equal to his humorous, macabre books and illustrations is his devotion to the New York...

I drove from Boston to Yarmouth Port on a crisp, grey, Saturday last November. It was a perfect day for visiting the Gorey House. Based on Gorey's books, plays and illustrations, I had pictured his home as a Gothic mansion filled with Victorian furniture and dark wallpaper. I imagined the walls to be covered with Edward Gorey illustrations, some cleverly...

As a long time Gorey Fan, I happened to encounter his house while on a family vaction last summer. I had no idea he had lived just a few minutes from where my family lived. Through a series of events worth of a Gorey Tale.. (a discussion of Gorey while back in Boston, stumbiling upon a small bookshop, finding a...
