Set back off Route 28, there is ample parking. We were immediately greeted by Gus, the owner's friendly chocolate lab. The grandkids sat on the dolphin statue outside the entrance for some photos. Admission fees were reasonable and there was an AAA discount. To the right is the "theater" where folks sit on bleachers to watch the live show with...

Great time for kids and adults. Easy to find on rte 28 and has plenty of parking. Two hours was plenty of time to spend att thye Zoo.
When pulling up to the building I thought it was going to be tiny with just a few animals. I was pleasantly surprised!!! They had a great variety of animals and I loved that you could pet the animals! A great place, not just for kids! And the price really wasn't bad.
It is small but well designed. It shows native species of the area. The outside exhibit is a great place for children to let off energy as it is well designed and interesting to both children and adults. The show I saw was with Lavern the skunk and even I learned about skunks.
To the other reviewers who complain about price... sac up , what were you looking for free? Its perfect for kids 12 and under.
Went there on a rainy day in September with my family and had a wonderful time. Great local animals is much more interesting than than a day at the movies. Clean facility and friendly staff will be back next year!
Perfect for young children and Adults. Animals include bobcat, fox, deer, Llama, sheep, Cow, Goats, Reptiles, etc. There was a native bird show which was interested, not too long to loose your attention.
We've gone a couple of times to the zooquarium on our summer vacation. They have quarter operated machines to feed the deer and goats which my son loves. They also have chickens loose in the complex which he loves to chase. They have a mini train the kids love to climb on and ring the bell as well.
I love this place. The care for rehab'd wild animals that would otherwise be destroyed because they cannot return to the wild. Kid friendly, full of educational opportunities, and a nice array of wildlife. And the animals appear happy and well fed. Feel free to feed them!
