Debra Jo Rupp gave an outstanding performance in this one-woman portrayal of Dr. Ruth. We loved the show, the location and the theater.

If you love seeing musicals with top talent, come to Julianne Boyd's Barrington Stage Company and get happy. The main stage is amazing; not a bad seat in the house. The intimate second stage offers more cutting-edge, modern works and experimental pieces before they hit the bigger stage—always great stuff.

This seems to be bringing a lot of energy into the rebirth of Pittsfield. The old theater has been well renovated, and there is lots of space for parking and strolling, with a number of decent places to eat in the area. How does Julia Boyd do it? She is the creative driving force behind Barrington Stage in Pittsfield. Last night we went to their 10 x 10 series of short plays, 10 plays lasting 10 minutes each. The casting was wonderful as usual.

Of the many performances I've seen at Barrington Stage, I can't say I've ever been disappointed. They are top-notch entertainment. I've seen plays here that rival Broadway. When you're in Pittsfield, and if you like live theatre, you must make this a destination! You won't be sorry. Check what they have going on in the Summer and grab some tickets.... More

Barrington Stage is a Broadway house with terrific shows that are revivals as well as with shows in development - many of which have been moved to Broadway. We are lucky to have this resource in the Berkshires. Do not miss!

"Our Sons" by Arthur Miller was superbly performed ... this company is a great discovery to my wife and I . ...nice old theatre with comfortable sitting...well worth the visit to Pittsfield, easy parking in a safe lot 100 feet from the theatre !
