Nice mountain, good variety in the terrain, friendly staff and reasonable price. Went mid-week in late March and never had to wait in a lift line.

This is a great regional ski place. We have been coming here for a number of years, probably 1/2 dozen days a year. We live in the NYC suburbs and the drive is just under two hours. Mid week, the lift tickets are $25, so if we come up and ski for 3 hours we really do get our money's...

We traveled half way across the nation to ski at Butternut because of the family friendly atmosphere and the value. The instructors who teach the kids do an fantastic job, such that my children were skiing blacks by the end of a week.
Will, who runs the bunny hill lift, is a special addition to the experience as he goes...

Very friendly resort, very good terrain for younger kids. Helpful staff and instructors. Nice Upper lodge, tasty food, fast service.
We went to ski during February break and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get to the mountain and to get out onto the slopes. There is a convenient unloading area right near the lift ticket booth and ski school rental area so you can unload all the gear and kids and be close to everything.

I went here with my wife yesterday and we had a great time. The lodge is a bit small and not updated but overall its a nice mountain. We had a friend that worked there so he was able to show us around which was nice.
We went there on Sunday Feb. 17, 2013. Usually that weekend is considered the busiest weekend for the season. But oh, boy! It was more crowded than I expected! The cafe, the trail, the waiting line, all were filled! It was no fun!
Also about the condition, I think, besides reporting temperature, wind factor is so vital! It would be...

we come up here from the shoreline in Connecticut three or four times a year. It's an easy drive and one of the few decent places you can ski or snowboard that doesn't require staying over in a hotel, although there are plenty around. We drop off the kids and spend the day in the Great Barrington area exploring restaurants...

AMAZING adventure from the lesson to the lift! We started on the bunny slope with our first lesson and were all taking the lift and coming down together by the 3rd day. Perfect family ski resort!!
