Brookside Gardens, and especially the Wheaton Regional Park area, seems to have something for everyone. Within the park you have Brookside Gardens, a lake, miles and miles of paved and dirt trails, a huge playground area with a small train, an outdoor ice skating rink, and much much more. Brookside in particular is a well-maintained area with several different features.... More

This is one of my favorite places to take a walk or have a picnic on the weekend. Beautiful gardens, especially when the tulips or azaleas are in bloom. The kids love it, too.

The 50 acre public park has accessible walking paths through various gardens. We saw the end of the azaleas and the start of rose season. The highlight was the butterfly house where you can see dozens of species. Great for kids and adults. The park is free but there is a small fee for the butterfly house.

This was a fantastic experience. We live about an hour away and came for the butterfly exhibit and walked away feeling so blessed we found this hidden treasure. There is no fee to enter the park which surprised us.mthere is a small one mile walking loop to see all of the gardens. The butterfly exhibit cost $6 and was great.... More

This well tended, beautifully landscaped garden is the perfect place to enjoy nature. Take your guests, take your mom for Mother's Day, take yourself for a tranquil walk...you will love it. The gardens have a great variety of plant and tree material, well signed, including a rose garden, a wildflower walk, a Japanese garden, a botanical indoor garden and much... More

My daughter loves Brookside Gardens as much as I do. There are so many things for the whole family. In the spring and summer there is a butterfly house filled with thousands of colorful butterflies. The grounds are always immaculately maintained and regardless of the season there is always something in bloom.

This is a great place to stroll around for an afternoon when the weather is nice. There are lots of paved trails, plenty of green grass and all sorts of gorgeous foliage. It's great for toddlers because they can run around and there's even a little tree house they can climb in. Beware of the goose poop though because it's... More

Brookside Gardens consists of a large park where plantings are central. There are several areas and one can find a small but beautiful greenhouse with all tropical plants. I just saw some plants I have never seen in my life (as plants, I knew their fruits) One can visit it any time of the year. During the warm months they... More

The most beautiful gardens on the east coast. The grounds are always kept in good condition, manicured, but still natural feeling. Many of the gardens change with the seasons so there is always something new to see. It's magical being there and your cares and woes will melt away while you walk through natures beauty.

Big trails - you can take a 30-minute brisk walk here without having to leave the garden grounds, plus lots more if you exit out into Wheaton Regional Park. Although it's especially lovely in fall and spring, the grounds are well-maintained year-round and it's well worth stopping by in the winter to walk around the grounds and duck into the... More
