This place is open all year round but particularly popular for its ice cream in summer. Its chocolates are really quite good and they have a good variety, including sugar-free. They are famous for their giant chocolate moose which stands in the store attracting kids of all ages. Their prices are not cheap but it is a pleasant place to... More

Our B&B host recommened this store. We really enjoyed browsing the store. Our only critique would be that we bought the chocolate, cranberry and nut bogs but there were no nuts inside.

We usually don’t consider a candy store as an attraction to see on a trip, but I saw the ad in Maine’s Tourism book and thought if we are near there, we’ll drop by. If you are in the neighborhood, then I would agree to stop in. It is a regular candy store but the main attraction is their 1700... More

These chocolates are so worth the 5 minute drive out of your way! The moose, not so much. We bought several different kinds of chocolate that were on display and every single piece was more delicious than the last. For the most part the chocolates are reasonably priced. The candied popcorn is great too!

We originally stopped just to see Lenny the Moose and when we walked into the store the amazing smell of chocolate hit us immediatley. We could not manage to leave without purchasing a lot of tasty treats. Pricing is a little high but the chocolates and fudge were amazing.

We went there to see the life size chocolate moose, like 1700 pounds. It was pretty neat, there was video that showed how it was made. We bought a few chocolates as well and they were really good. The staff were out of their way friendly. Stop in and see the new bear and cubs made out of chocolate.

Made a special trip here to see the 1,700 Lb. chocolate moose. Surprised to find the dark chocolate bear family. Taffy and chocolates were very tasty & well worth the trip.

I come here every time I visit Maine...until next time. We were eating our delicious ice cream when my four year old daughter told me she had to had to go to the bathroom "soo bad." I politely approached a worker and told her the situation and she told me she could not use their restroom. She would have to... More
