Watching whales is very fun. However, the boats vibrate a lot and I got very very seasick. This made it less fun. If you have motion sickness, take some dramamine an hour before hand. You will see whales, no worries. How close the whales get and how many you see depends on the day.

Yesterday my husband and I went on the whale watch out of Kennebunkport Maine. We had a nice day although we only saw a quick view of one whale. The captain saw several whale spouts in the distance and we did a lot of watching and waiting and they never surfaced again. He said that this was an unusual occurance... More

We went at the beginning of Aug 2012 on a beautiful calm and clear day, which may have contributed to the amount of whales we saw. We saw fin back whales, humpbacks, a shark, and some seals. The captain was great, had a sharp eye for spotting wildlife that no one else had seen. He waited patiently for whales to... More

We booked a 10 am whale watching cruise with First Chance, last weekend. We confirmed the marine forcast prior, which predicted calm waters. . The last time we did a Whale watching (from Provincetown), the watch was so rough, everyone on the boat experienced nausa. So we decided to take Gravol anyway. So sorry we did, because the waters were... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the 4.5 hour boat trip. We saw lots - including a swordfish ( up very close), basking shark, dolphins ( who danced for us in the boat wake) and whales. It was a beautiful day out. We especially appreciated the personalized service of our Captain who clearly enjoys his job.

Every whale watch is a crap shoot, but I have the feeling this one may be crappier than most. I have been on 3 whale watches in Provincetown, and they never disappointed. Those seemed to be much more professional operations. On First Chance, you are relying on the Cap'n to find you whales. One set of eyes and some sonar.... More

If you have nothing better to do than throw away money, then Nicky's Whale Watching boat ride for 4.5 hours is for you! Let's start at the very beginning...Cash ONLY - PLEASE! In today's times, plastic is the way to go. Then, as other reviewers commented correctly, to charge $10 for parking on their dock -WOW! I guess they share... More

I have been on numerous whale watches in the past > 12, however this was the only one that I have been dissapointed with. I appreciate that the company cannot and do not guarantee whale sightings however we were out for 4 hours (even though tour stated 4.5 hours), and we saw one Minky whale show its body 3-4 times... We were worried about this trip because it was supposed to rain on the day we signed up and a friend in Portland had told us about the con men who try to get tourists to sign up for whale watching in Portland, knowing that the likelihood of whale sightings is next to nil. But First Chance Whale Watch didn't... More
