If you enjoy things in the outdoors and seeing wild things, this is a great place. The are gators in abundance the heron/egret rookery is nothing short of amazing and viewable from the road. You'll want to make time for this place.

This is a rare sight. Large water fowl including Herons and Roseate Spoonbills will turn you into a birder. This was certainly the most picturesque bayou we saw on our trip.

My friend & I would frequently come here on the weekends to photograph the birds and practice bird calling. Such a tranquil & beautiful place. Go between March & June to see the egrets & herons and ibis nesting. Great photo opportunities.
