Ever since watching the show 'Swamp People', I've been obsessed with doing a swamp tour. Cajun Country Swamp Tour did not disappoint and was the highlight of me and my dad's cross country road trip. We spoke to Barbara multiple times on the phone and was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Butch was our tour guide and extremely knowledgable, friendly... More

This was a really interesting tour with a fantastic guide. Shawn obviously knows and loves the bayou and Lake Martin and is passionate about its preservation. This tour does not use some of the cheap tricks that other tour operators use, such as feeding alligators to make sure they appear (which is against the law). I couldn't quite believe how... More

The two-hour tour in a 15-seat open boat advertises as an up-close-and-personal look at Lake Martin swamp. But tour guide Butch's wry spiel also provides a Cajun's-eye-view of the history of the area, along with the politics, economics, and sociology of what's going on there now. Butch spins yarns about virtually every tree submerged in Lake Martin (a prerequisite for... More

A 2 hr tour that went for two and a half hrs. Butch was excited to have us on board. He knows a lot about the region, wildlife, birds, fauna of e area. He was a great guide. For $20, this is a great bargain......

Just spent 2 hours on Lake Martin with Shawn who gave us a very entertaining swamp tour. His father and grandfather have lived in these parts for many years and they are dedicated to preserving this wildlife refuge. Lots of beautiful birds and flowers to see plus turtles, frogs, snakes, even a nutria plus, of course, gators! Shawn knows about... More

Lake Martin is very beautiful and tour guide Butch was a real character: knows a lot and puts it over well, with a good sense of humour. This tour has loads of alligators (or it did on a warm May afternoon) as well as good birdlife. Did this tour after another (longer) swamp tour: both were excellent and showed different... More

My friends and I stopped in Breaux Bridge on our way home from New Orleans. We really wanted to do a swamp tour but in Nola they were $45+ and this tour was only $20! Loved our tour guide Brian. Very knowledgeable about all things swamp. Spoke Cajun as well. He answered all our questions even when we would google... More

Great tour of Lake Martin. Tour was worth the price and the guide was great. Would recommend to family and friends. Great family fun. We avoided the other tour operator.

This was worth doing seeing Turtyles, birds, Alligators and the swamp surroundings by boat. The skipper had a great feel for his profession and gave a lot of information.

I was in a party of three who took this tour with Butch. He is very knowledgable about plants and animals in the area, and is a very pleasant person. The tour was not rushed. Butch took time to point out interesting things to see and explain what we were seeing. I recommend this tour.
