I live here and I love it, but I also have family come from out of town a lot and we always go back here. The parking is relatively easier compared to Bardstown and 4th Street. Cafe Classico is great, and Heine Bros has the best coffee. We like the patio at Vint as well and their pastry and iced... More

What a line-up of restaurants and shops, in nice condition. It feels like a healthy small town in the middle of the city. Low crime area. Easy free parking. More

Great food and great shops. I like to call it Bardstown road lite. Don't have to deal with the hoards of people like on Bardstown road but still get that awesome laid back atmosphere. More

This is the place to find independently owned, artistic shops with an individual flavor. Restaurants are neighborhood-oriented with a communal friendliness, and the feeling is that this is the real people area of Louisville, where the people of the city gather again and again--not just a franchised tourist spot. A good place to find a book or some beads for... More

American Printing House was GREAT! (http://aph.org/) Would recommend the free tour to all adults and children!!! Lots of great architect in the houses along the street. One business of interest was Jerry Lotz's. He has all kinds of "stuff", antiques, etc that will amaze you. Lots of it is outside where you can see it and ooo and aww! More

The small city atmosphere with an occasional train passing through reminds me of my hometown in West Virginia. the street is vibrant but not so busy you cannot cross the street. The mix of restaurants, dessert options, the coffee shops make for a pleasant place to visit. More

Just so many places to go and things to see! Great restaurant options - from grab and go to upscale casual. Cute little boutiques and interesting antique shoppes. More

I drove down Frankfort looking for the charm of Louisville, and was wholly unimpressed. There really was nothing to see here. More

Frankfort Ave has many good restaurants and interesting shops. The mix is eclectic and if you are able, you should attend a Friday Night Trolley Hop. In the summer on Friday nights, Frankfort Ave comes to life with street muscians sidewalk sales and samples. More
