First it's free and then there are few spots inside museum where you can park for free. It has good amount of art and also some good quality antiques from Asian and roman period. Worth a trip multiple times

We took our 5 year old grandson from NC to see this exhibit. What a great display of costumes, light sabers, models etc. His favorite-Anakin Skywalker and he went back to see it several times. We loved seeing the Hans Solo and the details to his costume. I wish it had been spread out in the space just a bit... More

If you can get to this museum while the Ai Weiwei special exhibit is on you are in for a treat! Provocative, fascinating, exceptional art. Mola special exhibit is also very good since it not only has examples of the wonderful textile work of the Kuna of San Blas, but has samples of how the work is done. The museum... More

Beautiful gardens and house. Well informed Master Gardeners and House guides. Wendy Wilkerson of the IMA is the group coordinator that I worked with. She was extremely helpful and made the Madison Herb Society's visit a success.

Very large modern collection on display. Nice views to the river. Easy location to reach. The new addition is not as nice as the original building.

The only thing negative I have to say is I was kind of bummed to be told there is only one Van Gogh (Landscape at Saint Remy) after seeing all of the billboards around town showcasing V.G. Monet, Matisse etc. Other than that I truly enjoyed myself in the art museum. I didn't get to take in the 100 acre... More

I live down the street from the IMA, graduated from an art school, and am a high school art teacher - so I use this place a lot! However, my favorite part is taking my dog on a trail walk on the 100 acre art garden and enjoying the quite in the city!

I enjoy and appreciate the Indianapolis Museum of Art so much that I am also a volunteer. The IMA offers an experience for the entire family. There are numerous galleries showing a variety of art spanning several centuries. 2D, 3D, visual and audio, from my perspective the museum has it all. As a volunteer, I have often been told that...
