Even if you can't join the crowd of 400,000 that comes each May to watch the celebrated Indy 500, stop by for a minibus ride on the speedway. Then visit the museum that traces race car history, including a display of restored speed demons, starting with the first Indy winner in 1911. « less

We went for time trials and you can go nearly everywhere you want for $10/person includes parking. No crowds no lines. The museum is worth the $5 as well.

Fun place to go to. I have enjoyed the track for many years. I love the cars and getting to meet the drivers. Great spectacle. The Museum is top notch. It has many of the past winning cars and other cars such as pace cars and historical cars on display, great for the whole family.

We came late in the day and missed the last tour, but we made a reservation for the next morning, and saw the museum the first day. They let us in for free, as it is included in the tour admission. Enjoyed the tour. Our tour bus went 30 mph on the banked curve!!! Kissed the bricks and everything. The... More

I like to go up for the 500 race qualifying the weekend before the race. Up in turn one it is a nice relaxed atmosphere. I'm sure it is not so relaxing for the drivers and teams.

Amazing to be inside this place, you enter inside the track and park. It's even cooler that there's a golf course that cuts through. Saw a few cars on the track, really cool to see them whiz by. The museum is small but has everything you'd ever want to know about the Indy 500 including awesome cars and trophies. Great... More

This was a good day spent. I did the large tour which takes you all around the places of interest on the track. You get the chance to stand on the finish line and the winners podium. There is access to the press and Television rooms. For anyone with passion for Speedway this is a must do visit. The museum... More

Took my parents and aunt & uncle for a visit during Big 10 Football Championship weekend and even those not into racing enjoyed the visit. They offer a narrated tram ride around the track for a small fee in addition to the museum entry fee. The gift shop area is immediately inside the entrance and you don't need to pay... More

This place has everything on Indy racing. I enjoyed the movie on the history of racing. The displays are very interesting end educational. And I have to admit, sitting in an Indy car and playing the simulator was fun.
